The ADF is extending an invitation to interested and qualified individuals to join our prestigious judges directory. Please take the link for your application INTEGRITY OF JUDGES The Board unanimously adopted the following policy: Criteria For Conformation Judge 1. After an application has been submitted, the application is then reviewed by the Judges Review Committee. 2. After approval if the individual wishes to add a new breed/s, applicants are advised to complete whichever application is appropriate for the respective breed in which they are applying based upon their experience in that breed. The applicant will still be required to be interviewed on the respective breed(s) applied for by an ADF Representative. This interview will be scheduled by the ADF Judging Operations Department after the application has been processed. 3. From submission of an application to becoming a license for the breeds applied for it can take as little as three to four weeks at this time. 4. Familiararity with the breeds to be assigned will be determined at time of interview. Guidlines will come from existing standards which the prospective applicant must be familiar with. If I apply for a breed and am denied and I reapply for the same breed later, do I have to pay the $25.00 application fee again? No the fee is applied and remains viable for 1 year from the date of application and can be used for another breed or the same breed. 5. Passing the interview as well as the resume on the application, is a requirement for the applied breed, thus failure will result in that breed being deleted from consideration. 6. Once an application has been reviewed by the Judges Review Committee and any breeds have been approved, one may accept assignments immediately. Following the review by the Judges Review Committee, a letter will be mailed/emailed to the applicant. Upon receipt of this letter the applicant may now accept assignments on a Permit basis. You may apply for additional breeds as soon as you have been granted approved status on all of your permit breeds. The character and integrity of ADF licensed judges can reflect on the ADF dog sport. The ADF is proud of its licensed judges, their reputations, and the selfless contributions they make to the DF and the exhibitors. As part of the judging approval system, the ADF will consider evidence of the following: Expulsion from good standing from the ADF Conviction of any crime that relates to purebred dog issues or inhumane treatment of all dogs. if credible evidence is brought to the attention of ADF of the existence of the above, the ADF will investigate such matters. Full opportunity will be given to the person in question to explain all circumstances involved. In order to be eligible to become an ADF Obedience, Rally,Agility,Sled /ScooterJudge: **If you are applying from outside the US one of our out of country liaisons will contact you after your application has been submitted to assist you as there may not be an ADF representative close by you. Please fill out the judges application and submit it for review. Must pass an oral interview with administrator or senior representative with the ADF 3. Able to design an event course for agilityor rally Provisional Status: •Once all requirements are met to become a ADF Obedience Rally Agility, Judge, approval for Novice Standard, Novice Jumpers with Weaves, Open Standard, Open Jumpers with Weaves, Novice FAST, Open FAST and Time 2 Beat Obedience, Novice, Open Utility will be issued Full approval to judge all levels requires: •A minimum of one successful supervision by an **ADF Agility Field Representative at the Excellent class level. **If you are out of country, Europe, Canada, Asia or Africa please submit the name and contact information of a reference that can verify your information •Demonstrate the ability to design Excellent level courses and submit them on time. |
