SPOTLIGHT ON THE NORTH AMERICAN MASTIFF
The North American Mastiff is evolving as a breed and will continue to do so over the next 3-5 years. Breeder Elisha LaFreniere/Powerhouse Mastiffs has shown that the North American Mastiff can have it all, Conformation, movement, temperament and color. Powerhouse Atlas (shown below) was able to attain his US Championship, International Championship and World Champion title by two years of age.
Ms. LaFreniere opted for a video showing Powerhouse Atlas in free movement (some of which you see in the shorter free moving video here) when Ms. LaFreniere applied for Atlas’ Championship title. Powerhouse Atlas shows a stride that is fluid, powerful and ground covering. From the rear Powerhouse Atlas shows beautiful movement that is strong and straight. In the pictures Ms. LaFreniere submitted a “Free Stand”
